It just happend
Checking my email this morning I realised that neglecting our inbox for a week is not acceptable. I had no idea there was so much news and music just waiting there for me to open. We'll be sharing all we've gotten in the comming week(s).
One email in particular bothers me; we totally forgot to inform you on the massive Genesis edition last friday. None other then the boys from beesmunt, the walk, roger72 AND Diplo were there and for that we apologise.
If you need your fix and you can't wait for the actual weekend to begin you can check out Beesmunt this thursday at Bitterzoet in Amsterdam for an edition of EXODUS. Sure to rock your panties off.

Sweet dreams
You might remember the Sweet dreams rubix post we put up some months back. Well, rubix got in touch with us and told us he'd remastered the track. His remix has been getting a lot of airtime in the dutch music scene. We've got it for you, kind regards by the man himself.

Just like everything else, we're late with posting a remix of this track. If you read other blogs that are somewhat similar (and I think you do), you've probably seen other remixes of the Bathroom Gurgle track. This one sticks out though. Done by Duke Dumont, remember that name?

Last weekend was somewhat of an eyeopener for me. We went to see Feadz perform at the patronaat where he surprised me by playing mostly baltimore remixes. I had always associated feadz with the Ed banger crew so I expected he'd play more electro tracks then he did. No matter though, lately I've really been getting into baltimore anyways.
One of the names you come to find when looking for this type of music is Dj Sega's.
This man will turn pretty much any track into a baltimore hit.
See for yourself.

We will keep you posted on everything that has to do with fidget and/or electro but I'll throw in a techy track every now and then just because I feel it goes with stormy weather.
First update for this season features 2 very worthy tracks from London producers Italoboyz. 1 of their own and 1 remixed by german dj and producer Samim.
Italoboyz - Downtown
Come to think of it, minimal and techno doesn't go bad with a bit of sunshine either. Forget what I said.

Well anyway, Andy George figured it was time to bring new life to the Mars track and decided to use it in one of his mashups. Good on you Andy, 'tis a fine mashup.

Everyone has probably heard of Crookers' Lollypop by now but you might not have this mashup done by Andy George yet.
Right now Flexbar is the place to be at weekends. Last weekend none other then Bloody Beetroots were performing and Flexbar just keeps bringing the heat.. This weekend we'll be getting our groove on yet again at the front of the room rocking to those hefty beats Crookers supply. To cut a long story short; we've got another sweaty, jumpy, rocking weekend on our hands and we hope your weekend will be just as jam-packed as ours.

The Duke
Duke Dumont isn't playing around. Yet again he's blown me away with one of his productions. This track was released on the Dominion Dubs EP and is sure to be another floor filler. We warned you about Duke Dumont earlier this year and so far he's not dissapointed us. Keep your eye out for his productions and gigs.

Bloody Beetroots x Beesmunt Soundsystem x Jack De la this friday @ Flexbar!
The Bloody Beetroots are easily my favourite producers right now, closely followed by Duke Dumont and the Crookers. Joy of joys I finally get to see Bloody Beetroots perform live this friday!! They'll be performing alongside Beesmunt Soundsystem and Jack De La at the Flex this friday.
This is a party you can not miss and if you're looking to win some guestlist spots for this evening you can either head over to Apollokiddz or Amstereo Galaxy
For those of you who've yet to see footage of the Bloody Beetroots performance:

This weekend we went to Amsterdams 'Sugar Factory' and even though a mash-up of electro and fidget was the theme of the evening dj 'Sammy..something' (sorry) threw in this little b-more gem and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. All in all a wicked evening by the way.

I have to be honest with you guys, not often does a track come by that completely blows me away.
This one does.
Appearantly I haven't been paying much attention because someone told me this track was hyped a while back and I'm just catching up. Well if that is the case and I'm the last one here to add this track to my library I apologise. I'm pretty sure some of you will still digg this record like I do though.
It's another one of Joshua Harvey's fine productions. Not sure if it quite lives up to cheap thrills but it sure comes close.

Anything but a flat beat
Finally! A worthy remix of the neverending classic Flat Beat. A track of which I'm sure everyone remembers because of it's clip with a yellow puppet and a sausage for a cigar. If you thought the original was catchy, but a bit too soft for your liking then you'll most definetly love this amplified version.

Ed bangers
I've been waiting for some good releases from the Ed Banger label again for a while now. And I think the waiting will be over september first, the day Sebastian's album will be released on the ed banger label. The album holds 17 classic tracks with added electricity. The genius of it all is that the classic 'sound' of the tracks have been stored but sort of amplified.

03. Daft Punk - Human After All
04. Mylo - Paris 400
05. The Rapture - Get Myself Into It

08. Kelis - Bossy
09. The Kills - Cheap & Cheerful

My bad.
Apologies to Zodiac Cartel, Dada Life, Elite Force and Oldschool Reunion.
Yet again we've had to make them wait before we could put up their tracks on the blog. We're feeling your music guys, it's just that with all the levels of management, the paperwork, the shipping and the health and safety restrictions it takes us some time to get your tracks up.
Not only did Elite force send some sweet samples over but they also let us know they've started a blog. Definetly worth checking out, especially after all the goodness he's provided us.
Elite Force - No Turning Back (Mowgli & Solo Mix)
Elite Force - Gasoline Alley (Bearweasel Mix)
Hear more at techfunkmanifesto.blogspot.com
Earlier this year Zodiac Cartel was kind enough to send me some tracks for me to listen too. They did stress we weren't to spread it around so we didn't. Some time later the tracks did pop up all around and we decided putting them on our blog after that big hype would have been pointless. I think I can safely say though a lot of people were swept off their feet, at least we were. So here's the next remix they've sent us:
Fine Cut Bodies - Beaver Blink (Zodiac Cartel remix)
Last but certainly not least. The guys from DADA LIFE have yet again put together a sweet month-promo mix. "As usual it is packed with exclusive tunes that you won't find anywhere else."
Tracklist:
Audioporno - Choo Choo (Bloody Beetroots Rmx)
Kid Dub - Congo
Maskinen - Segertåget (Dada Life Remix)
RQM - Miss Pacman (Oliver $ Rmx)
Joshua Harvey - Beat Bang
Dada Life - Cash In Drop Out
Greg Cerrone - Bullit (Miles Dyson Remix)
Meat Katie - Cracks
Boy-8bit - The Suspense Is Killing Me (Dada Life Guerilla Fart)

Tommie Sunshine, sometimes referred to as 'Jesus' (although the reason behind that is beyond me), is from what I hear pretty 'big' in the US. Judging from his tracks I wouldn't be at all surprised if his name started showing up on the billboards of European venues aswell.
Also, props to Nic Sarno for making a wicked remix!

People who've been reading the blogs lately know that South rakkas crew - mad again has been remixed endlessly. Another version to add to that long list is a bootleg done by one of our favourites: Scott Cooper. This one certainly has that little bit extra.

Viewers mail
Took long enough but here it is. We've been recieving a lot of viewers mail lately and it's time we put them out there.
First up is Riva Starr's new track: MARIA (dj tool).
This is one of the 3 tunes from the War Drums ep that is out on Kindisch right now and already in the top ten 'house'-tunes at beatport.
Keep an eye out for his mix "Back to jack" to be released in july on discobelle with "some of the best jacking house tunes of all the time + some special RS"
Second are 2 tracks from Oldschoolreunion. I especially like their Lovestory track.
IDLE (oldschoolreunion remix)
LOVEstory
And to top it off Osmo sent his new mix over.

Weekend soundtracks
That long awaited moment is here yet again. It will come as no surprise to our loyal readers, we never miss a friday-weekend-soundtrack post.
First track has been featured in many of our previously posted mixes for good reason. I don't think I have to tell you how mental a crowd will go when you put this one on full blast. BOBOBOBO!
T2 - Heartbroken - The Count remix (previously known as The Count Of Monte Cristal)
These two tracks are not in any way alike as you'll find out after hearing this track. Rough, filthy, hardcore electro. I'd tell you more but I know absolutely nothing about this guy (or girl). Sorry about that.
Math head - Get hype
All in all some totally random tunes with a totally random picture but nothing we wouldn't want to come across this weekend. Have a good one!

Euro2008
Now, what we could do is post some heavy dutch hits to go with the mood but I doubt Wolter Kroes or Het welpenlied would really be fancied by anyone here. So I'm gonna go with minimal on this one:
Don't know what I can tell you about this first track here. Just some funky minimal to enjoy, preferably at a sunny outdoor event.
x1 vs David E. Sugar - Oi Oi London This Is Kreuzberg
Polder is a rising dj-duo from Holland. Went to see them a while back at Paradiso, brilliant set. Definitly recommend you go see these guys live.
Off of their new album 'Poldermodel' which is also definitly worth buying:
Polder - Frisky (Thanks to Apollokiddz)
Like we mention in the disclaimer: If you like their stuff go buy their albums, see their gigs, support the artists.

Weekend Soundtracks
Gonna do a small bit of advertising here:
Chew The Fat is having a competition to win an exclusive Punks Jump Up t-shirt and 4 guestlist places for tomorrow's CTF @ The End (where Foamo, one of our favourite dj's, will be performing) and a runners up prize consisting of 2 pairs of guestlist spaces. Unfortunately 'The End'-venue is in London so not a party we're going to be attending but if you live near there send an email to info@thefatclub.com with 'competition' as the subject. Winners will be picked totally at random.
Back to our weekend soundtracks.
You might have heard this sweet little track in Pierre LP's mix:
Diplo - Fired from work. (thanks Hank)
Screw it, we'll throw in another classic aswell:
Justice - Phantom Pt II (Boys Noize Remix).
does anybody know the name of this track?
Thanks to Oliver and Pinguin: Not quite the same but still very worthwhile. If anyone has the exact remix that's played in the clip please let us know!
Christian Smith & John Selway - Total Departure
