Do not miss...
And yes, it's probably inspired by the Turbokrapfen piece of artistic treasure for Crookers & Bloody Beetroots, or what he calls it: Graphic Shit, but hey, that is some nice art right there.

But Still, the message is: 'got some time? it's outside, it's free, and it's BANGIN'!'.

Oh yeah, i've put a track in here for you as well:

Rennie Pilgrem - Drumma

Weekend soundtracks

** I was gonna post this tomorrow but my new djm400 mixer just got in so im gonna be busy tomorrow**

Weekend is around the corner and who would've thought it; we got some tracks to share.

First off, and this will be a pleasent surprise to some of our readers, everyone who missed out on the Limorare (Bulgarian remix) will be happy to know that we've been given permission by the man himself to reupload this track. So feel free to download and tell all your friends.
Crookers - Limorare (The Bulgarian remix)

This next track came to my attention again yesterday, been looking for the 320 version for a long time now.
Timbaland - Miscommunication (The Bloody Beetroots Remix)

And in addition to that long list of classic 80's 90's remakes.
The Bloody Beetroots - Maniac

Also check out 72 virgins track on Bloody Beetroots' myspace

Let us know what you think of them.

Visualisations

You might have noticed a slight change of design. Sgnt Tibbs is responsible for this piece of art. Thank, greet, hail, whatever him @ our shoutbox, our myspace, our email or in our comment section.

Edit: For all of you wondering what the hell that little man represents or even what 'Awkward Pirates' really means:

The Awkward Pirate

Like the awkward
turtle
, the awkward pirate is a hand gesture used when an awkward
situation arises. A single hand is used to cover one eye, and the free thumb is
spun in a clockwise manner.
"So that wasn't really me last night, that was my
dad. And he's dead... Now."

"..."

*Other person covers eye and twirls thumb
appropriately, making an awkward pirate*

And on that creative note:

Fancy footwork

A moment of your time for the fancy footwork video by Chromeo
Genius.

No small talk today. Earlier on I mentioned how 80's and 90's rock tracks were the way to go if you're thinking of remixing. I found a couple more examples that prove my point:

And since I really digg Rubix' sound, here's another remix he did. Keep an eye out for this young producer.
Laidback Luke - Break The House Down (Rubix remix)

It's that easy.

Well, I got up this morning and found my inboxes filled with sweet new promos to share.
Riva Starr, The Bulgarian and U&A Recordings all had some music in store.

Riva Starr sent along his remix of Colin Hobbs - Coming Up (will only be up for 10 days so get it quick). Quality fidget proving he hasn't lost his touch. Already, this track is supported by the legend Dave 'Switch' Taylor, Jesse Rose and all the other usual suspects. Keep checking Riva Starr's label Dirtybird Records however for his techYes tracks aswell.

The Bulgarian is definitly among the greats when it comes to fidget sounds. Talked to him a while back and he mentioned he had done a remix for Crookers of their 'Limonare' track. He said this remix might not ever be released so we were free to host it on Awkward Pirates. Thanks for that by the way D.

U&A Recordings were nice enough to hand us some samples of their upcomming releases aswell.
They've started a project where they remix a series of older Elite Force tracks.

The first mix comes from Plasmapool's Miles Dyson and melds electro house attitude with classic breaks fonk stylings to create a huge big room monster.

The second mix is from Dirtybird artist Riva Starr who turns in a awesome, low-slung, deep techy take on things and comes up with a stripped and hypnotic version that jacks up the bass and lets fly with a groove that is rolling and percussive. Quality house music that clearly shows why Claude Von Stroke has taken this talented producer on board.

As you might've noticed all these remixes are in 128 but if you're looking for any of these remixes you can BUY them here.
